Kevin Rudd's Strip Club Experience

The recent news of Kevin Rudd and his strip club experience while on a taxpayer funded trip to New York has created a lot of hype amongst the Australian media. While most of the time I try to read between the lines when it comes to what the media reports, I cannot help but to acknowledge the fact that a married man who wishes to be the face of Australia and lead the country as Prime Minister is tarnishing the entire image of Australians.

While this news may not have reached anywhere overseas I still think it reflects badly on Rudd, the ALP and Australia. Yes, strip clubs exist and they always have. Notions of the adult industry being the "oldest profession" hold true, but the media beat up on this event is justified. I don't wish his career to be over, but he should suffer a fair penalty issued by the people of Australia in his election campaign.

On the other hand people do make mistakes and this is quite obviously one of Kevin's (he doesn't seem like the type to be a regular at a strip club) and they should be forgiven. He claims to have apologised to his wife the next day after revealing his adventures saying he told her he was a "goose". If this is true, he has gained some credibility. However at this moment I am reluctant to believe what he says.

Eve geese shouldn't be put in the same boat as Kevin Rudd because even they are smart enough to know not to meander into a strip club on a tax payer funded trip without the wife or the wife's consent. Kevin Rudd you are a silly man and I question whether your younger image posses the maturity required to run a country. If your past is yet to reveal more comparable qualities, you might as well hand it to Johnny right now.

Some news reports on Kevin's night out:
ABC - Strip club revelations 'unlikely' to lose Rudd many votes
Courier Mail - Kevin Rudd strip club

A shameless plug

This is a shameless plug for an article I wrote last year. I still seem to see quite a lot of people asking how to remove the camera shutter sound on the Sony Ericsson K750i so I have decided to hopefully pull more traffic to the page my article is written on!

So if you are looking to get rid of that sound that drives me crazy and you own an Australian (CID49) K750i this page is your answer!
